Karrueche Tran wins big at Daytime Emmys 2016


Karreuche Tran is definitely not holding back when it comes to getting what she wants out of life post Chris Brown.

Karrueche Tran wins at Daytime Emmy Awards 2016, The 27-year-old model just won big at this year's Daytime Emmy Awards; taking home the best producer award for her work on the popular web series, "The Bay".

 This is actually Tran's second Emmy win. In April 2015, her 'The Bay' cast members picked up an Emmy for 'Outstanding New Approaches Drama Series.' "It's really freaking awesome. It's great for my acting career," Tran told Hiphollywood about her win.  Tran joined the online soap opera in 2014 and appeared in 6 episodes; her role expanded in the upcoming fourth season.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" Watch new featurette


20th Century FOX has released a new "X-Men : Apocalypse" clip. The new "X-Men: Apocalypse" featurette focuses on Oscar Isaac’s character, Apocalypse. The upcoming film will mark the end of the X-Men trilogy, with Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) being the greatest threat the X-Men have faced to date. X-Men: Apocalypse stars Oscar Isaac as the titular villain.

Here is The Complete List 2016 Daytime Emmy Award Winners



The 2016 Daytime Emmys aren't must-see TV, apparently.
That's because, for the second time in the last three years, the annual event wasn't broadcast on television. No matter. Dozens of stars still walked the red carpet Sunday at L.A.'s Westin Bonaventure, including Adrianne BailonCandace Cameron Bure,Mario LopezDaphne Oz and Dr. Mehmet Oz. ABC's General Hospital took home five awards, including Outstanding Drama Series.
The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards recognized outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production. Individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the 2015 calendar year were eligible for awards; see a complete list of nominees here.
"We are thrilled to be saluting the best and brightest in what has been a fantastic year for Daytime television," Bob Mauro, President, NATAS, said in a statement. "We are blessed with an embarrassment of outstanding nominees and none could shine brighter than this year's Lifetime Achievement honoree, Sonia Manzano. Over the last 40-plus-years, we, and many of our children, have followed her iconic journey as 'Maria' on Sesame Street and the National Academy is thrilled to be able to salute her tonight for her extraordinary achievement."

The Punisher Daredevil's villain is getting his own Netflix spinoff series


Netflix has ordered a full first season of “Marvel’s The Punisher.”

The series will have Jon Bernthal reprise his role as Frank Castle, a character introduced to fans in the second season of the Netflix original series “Marvel’s Daredevil.”

Jon Bernthal will play the vengeful military veteran Frank Castle, who brings his own lethal form of justice to Hell’s Kitchen.

Sylvester Stallone set to star in TV adaptation of Mario Puzo's "Omerta"

Sylvester Stallone is reportedly finalizing a deal to star in Antoine Fuqua's TV adaptation of Mario Puzo's 'Omerta', which will be the three-time Oscar nominee's first scripted TV series.

The TV adaptation of Mario Puzo's 'Omerta', which is the final book in the author's mafia trilogy that started with 'The Godfather'and 'The Last Don', is also yet to find an attached network.

Hollywood Reporter reveals that Stallone is expected to play the mafia head at the center of the story.
Sources have reportedly revealed that the pilot could film as early as summer, this year, suggesting that the project will soon be shopped to cable and streaming services.
The reports also reveal that Stallone is currently attached as an executive producer to NBC's unscripted fitness competition Strong, which debuted to poor numbers earlier this month.
The book on which it's based was published posthumously in 2000, a year after the two-time Oscar-winning author's death.
The WME-repped star's profile has been higher in film, with his lengthy résumé which includes blockbusters such as the Rocky and Expendables franchises.
